Golden Hearts

¡Hello!


Golden Hearts is the name of our Senior group of our parish, Mary Mother of Martyrs 


Who can be involved

Men and women who are seniors and interested in becoming part of our community.


Our main purpose is to have fun and get to know one another better as we grow as a community of faith.


Our activities include meetings, trips, lunches, and sometimes guest speakers.

What we do?

Meeting Times

Our meetings on the month are:


We meet twice a month.

We meet on the first and third Friday of each month from 12:00–3:00 p.m.

Feel free to come to one of our meetings and introduce yourself.

Handmades

¡Hello!


We are ladies from Mary Mother of Martyrs Parish who have been meeting every Thursday for 20 years to create useful items from fabrics and yarn.


Who can be involved

Anyone interested in creating items from fabric and yarn is always welcome. If you would like to donate yarn, it is always appreciated.

What we do?

The HandMades create items from fabric and yarns that are donated to various charities.


The items we have made include baptismal garments, prayer shawls, adult and baby hats, hat and scarf sets, baby blankets, and tote bags. These have been donated to the Des Plaines Pantry, Lemons of Love, Elmhurst Cancer Centers, and many other charities.



Meeting Times

Our meetings on the month are:


We meet every Thursday.

We meet from 1:00–3:00 p.m. in the St. Joseph Room,

located at the St. Stephen Campus.
