Hello, I am Noreen Johnson. I grew up in Westchester and attend Divine Providence Parish before meeting my husband. My husband Don and I have a 22 year old son, Donny and a chocolate lab named Duncan. Throughout my husband’s childhood here in Des Plaines and then in our life together, we have attended both St. Mary and St. Stephen parishes before finally settling in at St. Stephen in 2009.

     I’ve been working in the St. Stephen Parish Office as a secretary since 2013. I was meant to cover a maternity leave and here I am 9 years later! I am grateful the Holy Spirit guided me to this welcoming, active, and diverse parish with a strong community of faith.             

     With the uniting of our two churches, I feel a sense of belonging and connectedness that can only be inspired by God’s providence. We are meant to be together, to pray together and serve together. With Jesus and the Blessed Mother Mary leading us, all things are possible as we begin this journey together.
