Deacon Conrad was ordained as a permanent deacon On May 12, 2018. He has lived in Des Plaines since 1977 and has been a parishioner at St. Stephen Protomartyr since that time. He is married to his wife, Linda for 45 years and has seven children and eight grandchildren. He has a Master’s degree in Spanish language and literature from Northwestern University and has worked as a teacher and, in various capacities, for the Social Security Administration. He has also been involved in the pro-life movement and was the founder of the Women’s Centers of Greater Chicagoland, a crisis pregnancy care organization.
